Pie Crust
2 cups Sifted flour
1 tsp salt
2/3 c Crisco
1/4 c water
Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Put 1/3 c of this flour into a small bowl and mix in the water to form a paste. Cut Crisco with knives, forks, or pastry blender into the remaining 12/3 cups of flour until the pieces are the size of small peas. Add flour-paste to Crisco-flour mixture. Mix thoroughly until the dough comes together and can be shaped into a ball. Divide in half- roll out both crusts about 1/8 inch thick.
One Crust Measurements for an 8" pie:
Use 1 1/2 cuups flour and blend with 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 c Crisco. Take out 1/4 cup flour and blend with 3tbsps of water

She wrote this on an envelope that has my writing on the outside "To Grandma" in a fourth grader's cursive hand... I wonder if she wrote that recipe there for me?
